- On an intellectual level, I agree with you. On the other hand, my
- wife and I once visited a Chicago Health Club, looking into it as an
- alternative to another health/tennis/sports club we were also looking
- into. We were shown the facilities by a very attractive young woman,
- who then subjected us to one of the hardest sells we have run into.
- When we finally got across to her that we were not going to
- immediately sign the contract she was handing us, but wanted time to
- consider and compare that club with others, she became nasty and
- insulting. I can understand how someone who was leaning toward
- joining the club might have signed without reading the contract if he
- were subjected to the type of pressure sales tactics that we
- experienced that day.
