- Object-Oriented Technology: Methodology and Applications
-
- The past ten years have seen object-oriented techniques move from an
- interesting research topic to a practical software engineering
- approach. This talk will review the Object Modeling Technique (OMT),
- developed at GE's Corporate Research and Development, and will describe
- a few large software systems developed using OO techniques. OMT uses
- object, dynamic and functional models throughout the software
- engineering life cycle to analyze, design and develop object-oriented
- application software. The speaker has been using OO techniques since
- 1984 to develop computer graphics applications, namely computer
- animation and scientific visualization. The talk will describe these
- systems, emphasizing design and implementation.
