  11. I have had a conversation with a local woman who has been divorced for some
  12. nine years. Her ex, ordered to pay $150.00 a month in combined
  13. maintenance/child support, has paid $150 in nine years.

  15. The woman, enrolled in  B.C.'s Family Maintenance Enforcement Program, has
  16. appropriate court orders and attachments, but cannot enforce them, as her ex
  17. has reportedly moved to Edmonton and remarried.

  19. Without information about where the man lives, and who he works for, the
  20. FMEP bureaucrats won't lift a finger to bring him to court.

  22. Like an increasing number of her US counterparts, this woman has taken to
  23. posting "WANTED" posters, complete with her ex-husband's photograph and
  24. citation of appropriate court orders, throughout the local area, but has no
  25. way of displaying these posters in Edmonton.

  27. She has asked me if I can help her find someone sympathetic enough to post
  28. them for her in Edmonton, or put her in touch with organizations similar to
  29. the one my daughter recently organized here in B.C. who might be able to
  30. help her track down her ex so she can pass the information to the FMEP folks
  31. for action.

  33. If you are willing to help, and live in the Edmonton area, I'd like to hear
  34. from you. The woman in question will provide posters, and specific contacts
  35. within the FMEP to verify the accuracy of the assertions contained in the
  36. posters. She will provide similar services for anyone in Canada, male or
  37. female, whose ex now lives in the Central Vancouver Island Area.
