- Read my text. I said "if the're NOT going to shoot it down, then send up
- a plane that CAN follow them where ever they might go". They lost a similiar
- sort of drug plane a while ago (so the media says) because the amreicans that
- were following it couldn't or didn't get permission in time to land and stop
- the transfer of the drugs into trucks. That almost happened this time.
- It seems that the canadian authorities simply applied brute-force search
- tactics and sent planes/helicopters to every possible landing strip in the
- area, and eventually found them. Kinda sounds like the keystone cops to me.

- Sure they used the "truly Canadian" way of doing things...
- Almost botching the thing because X different gov't agencies and
- local/provincial authorities bungle their way to work together
- (while trying not to step on each others toes). We should just let the
- american's come in and follow/land/arrest then take back the smugglers
- and the planes and the dope and the people involved. At least it would
- get done professionally, and it would save us a ton of $$$ not only for
- the chase, gut the court costs as well.
