- As a new Coquitlam resident, I too would love to see some better public
- transport out here. I tried taking the bus but it just didn't work out.
- At first I thought I could read or relax and leave the driving to
- BC Transit. Instead I ended up spending my time standing (in the rain)
- waiting for connecting busses. The time spent on the bus was less than the
- time spent waiting!
-
- Right now I'm trying to find people to fill a van pool van from the Coquitlam/
- Lougheed Mall area to UBC. I think this is a reasonable compromise: some time
- spent picking up passengers then a quick and transferless journey to campus.
- Interested? Know anyone who might be? let me know by e-mail. The sooner we
- can get a compatible group together, the sooner we can do a little to help
- the environment and save a little money in the process!
-
- >Judging by the number of people posting from UBC saying "you can't get
- >there from here", it seems the demand is there for a SkyTrain line to UBC :-)
-
- A beautiful sky-train line won't be built soon. Until then we'll have to use
- other means.
