  18.   I think you have it wrong. It's not because I'm such a "REAL" vampire 
  19. fanatic that I thought there was no way the film could live up to my 
  20. expectations. I expected a lot from this movie for several reasons. First of
  21. all it was billed as 'Brom Stoker's DRACULA' the first movie to be true to
  22. the original novel. I loved the original book by Stoker, and anybody who is
  23. planning on making a movie that is true to the book has a lot of expectaions 
  24. to live up to. Secondly, my roommate worked on the film (only for a day) and 
  25. told me about how spectacular the sets and costuming were. My roomate knows 
  26. my tastes and told me that I would definitely be impressed (as he was) about
  27. the whole production. That brought my expectaion level even higher. Then when 
  28. I find out that Copolla is directing, that brings it to an even higher level.
  29. I mean, you tend to expect a lot from the director who brought you Apocolypse
  30. Now and The Godfather. So yes, I had very high expectaions, but after seening
  31. the movie said that I was quite dissappointed with it. I said that some of the
  32. dissappointment may have come from over-expectaions of the movie, but then I
  33. also continued to give the reasons _why_ I thought there were other flaws with
  34. the movie. Furthermore, I went to see it on opening night (in Hollywood) and
  35. did not have previous viewers telling me their views of the movie. I made 
  36. my decisions on my own and was not following your 'trend' to bash the movie. I
  37. had made most of my decisions by the time the credits rolled at the end of the
  38. movie.  I guess what it comes down to is that you have your own opinions and
  39. I have mine...
