  28. *sigh*  Reminds me of a person I came out to here - she kept saying
  29. that she didn't see how this would make any difference and that she
  30. would still treat me the same, because she treats all of her friends
  31. the same.  And I kept trying to explain that it _does_ make a
  32. difference, but could never come up with an example without resorting
  33. to stereotypes.  That was a rather frustrating conversation. :/

  35. Oh, and I considered telling just saying that "well, at some point I
  36. would at least like you to call me Dianne".  But I didn't quite have
  37. the courage at that point, and I'm not sure that it would have helped
  38. things.
