- *sigh* Reminds me of a person I came out to here - she kept saying
- that she didn't see how this would make any difference and that she
- would still treat me the same, because she treats all of her friends
- the same. And I kept trying to explain that it _does_ make a
- difference, but could never come up with an example without resorting
- to stereotypes. That was a rather frustrating conversation. :/

- Oh, and I considered telling just saying that "well, at some point I
- would at least like you to call me Dianne". But I didn't quite have
- the courage at that point, and I'm not sure that it would have helped
- things.
