- All I can say is walk tall and carry a big stick or an Uzi. San Pedro
- and PV rank with Oxnard as having the worst localism in California.
- I've never had problems there, but I've had friends of mine get
- beat up and have gangs chase them with baseball bats. It's a wealthy
- area and there's lots of spoiled rich kids with nothing better to
- do than be territorial. Lots of good-looking girls though.
-
- I met a guy in Mundaka that said he grew up within sight of the PV cove,
- but never surfed there due to the nasty vibes. He usually headed up
- to Torrance or Hermosa.
-
- I wish I could be more positive. Get a local board and try and make
- friends with the locals. Better yet, move to Huntington, you'll get
- more waves to yourself and have less hassles.
