  16. like saying that Francaphones are smarter than Anglophones because
  17. they speak French.

  20. therefore probably speak at least two languages like most people from
  21. Europe - but that doesn't mean they are more intelligent those with
  22. only one language.

  28. I was watching a Canadian show called Fashion T.V. and they interviewed
  29. a few models about what they thought of the clothes in one of the shows
  30. they were doing, and truthfully, these models were barely monosyllabic.  But
  31. hey, I don't know, just because they couldn't speak in complete
  32. sentences doesn't mean they are stupid - a person who speaks in
  33. complete sentences can still be an idiot.  In fact, they interviewed
  34. a photographer or some such person about the model Karen Mulder and what
  35. he thought of her.  He said she was exactly like Betty Grable! 
  36. Talk about an idiot, she is hardly like Betty Grable.

  38. I've noticed, and it kind of irks me, that practically every new model today 
  39. is labelled another Marilyn, or another Bardot, or another Loren etc. - 
  40. why can't they just be original?  That would make them much more interesting.
  41. There is nothing more boring and pathetic in the fashion industry than a model 
  42. whose claim to fame is because she looks like one of the icons of beauty 
  43. from the past.  I suppose Marilyn et al are paragons of beauty, 
  44. but must every new model be compared to them just to prove their worth?
