  15. Rick, I agree with you that you can get to God/Heaven without the Bible.
  16. The Bible is simply a book (written with the help of God, in my opinion)
  17. to lead people to him and to instruct them on how they "should" live 
  18. their lives in harmony with each other.

  20. I like to view the Bible as kind of like a road map; it pretty difficult 
  21. to get from my house to Los Angeles without a map.  There are many roads
  22. to take, but only a few actually lead there and without a map, it is
  23. quite easy to get lost.
