- You can't have a truly balanced court; you can only aim at the ideal. The
- ideal would be four conservatives, four liberals, and a swing justice; or,
- alternately, nine swing justices. I'm not saying either of these scenarios
- will ever be achieved. However, the present state of the Court is conservative
- and unbalanced. To swing it back toward the middle, we need to replace some
- justices with liberals.
