  25. In fact, religious left is very large, perhaps larger than the religious
  26. right.  I am talking about several groups: (1) the Jesse Jackson crowd
  27. (I know that he has many non-religious followers, I am not counting
  28. them).
  29. (2) those Christians who are considered, from a religous/theological
  30. viewpoint, liberal (they vastly outnumber conservative Christians, and they are
  31. mostly politically liberal too; many conservative Christians would say
  32. that these liberals should not be counted as Christians) (there is overlap
  33. between (1) and (2)). (3) the mayority
  34. of Jews (I am basing this on the fact that I personally know very many
  35. Jews, several of which very actively live out their religion, and they
  36. are the ones who tell me that the vast majority of american Jews are
  37. democrats.)
