  48. That would be odd, since it isn't true.  Elizabeth Tamposi, the
  49. political appointee who was fired for doing the search, has said that
  50. the White House ordered it done.

  52. Now, granted, she could be lying to cover her own rear, but since she
  53. was a political appointee (a friend of John Sununu's), it's hard to see
  54. a clear distinction.  And besides, somehow I can't see someone doing
  55. this on their own, without authorization from the White House.

  57. If the media were liberal, they would have printed the Iran-contra and
  58. Iraqgate stories without having to have them shoved down their throats.
