-
- It depends on what kind of "voluntary school prayer" you are talking
- about. It is patently impossible to restrict prayer, when done in the
- privacy of one's thoughts. However, public displays of religious
- devotion are disruptive and have no place in the school environment.
- Worse yet, "organized" prayer times infringe on the rights of those
- who feel such demonstrations are, at best, silly or, at worst,
- sacreligious.
-
- You have a "right" to smoke, as long as I don't have to breathe it.
- You have a "right" to pray as long as I don't have to endure it.

-
- Same argument. Homosexuals can do whatever they want, in private, or
- in their own thoughts. As long as they are only showering, then the
- heteros have no cause for complaint.
-
- If heteros are uncomfortable with the mere _presence_ of homosexuals,
- then it is _they_ who have the problem. There is no parallel in the
- prayer issue.
