- You don't mind if I only answer one of your posts do you Steve?
-
- dk>Then don't have sex. Some of us feel the rewards from sex are
- dk>worth the risk. Some of us are willing to leave our houses
- dk>knowing that it could result in harm, but knowing the reward
- dk>is worth the risk. If you feel safer staying in your house
- dk>and avoiding all outside risk, hey I would never pass legislation
- dk>forcing you to leave your house.
-
- sm>I'm sorry, what risk are you referring to? Since you feel no
- sm>responsibility towards an unborn child and you can talk so callously
- sm>about killing such an infant, it is apparent that you aren't taking
- sm>any risks at all. Unless you mean the risk of having to pay for someone
- sm>elses abortion!
-
- I think you need to learn something about the abortion procedure.
- It is not risk free, painless or free. Regardless of anyones
- feelings about the fetus's status, abortion is rarely painless
- physically or emotionally. I have never had an abortion but I
- do know women that have. I'd advice you to talk to some women
- before you trivialize their decisions.
-
- sm>I guess I hadn't realized that I had become so out of touch and that
- sm>I wasn't aware that so many people are using abortion as casual
- sm>birth control. Naturally if you don't have even the morals to consider
- sm>that you may be killing another human being, then you won't feel much
- sm>compelled to consider taking responsible action to keep the pregnancy
- sm>from happening in the first place.
-
- From this post, I would have to agree that you are out of touch.
-
- Are there a lot of people using abortion as casual birth control?
- Do you have statistics or any evidence to back up this claim that
- many people are using abortion as casual birth control or perhaps
- you could tell us what you mean by casual birth control?
-
- I take reasonable precautions to ensure any act of coitus sex
- I participate in does not result in un-wanted conception. For
- me, abstinence from coitus sex is not reasonable. I will
- continue to use my chosen mode of birth control and I resent
- you and Elizabeth attempting to dictate to me which form is
- acceptable.
-
- sm>Thank you for making me aware how morally low people in this nation
- sm>have sunk. I think I have just become much clearer in my stance on
- sm>abortion.
-
- And what is that? Are you by any chance one of those willing
- to use government force to ensure that I practice my sex life
- the way you feel is appropriate?
-
- sm>Elizabeth, don't let these hypocrites twist your thoughts about the
- sm>subject. It is refreshing to find young people who use their brains
- sm>rather than their genitals to make important decisions in their lives.
-
- I have no problem with Elizabeth practicing abstinence. I practice
- abstinence much more of my life than I don't. However, when I
- do decide to not abstain, I fail to see why business that is of
- yours or Elizabeths. Why don't you explain how my position is
- hypocritical?
