- I bought the Diva about six months ago, and I think it's one of the best
- albumreleases this year. The songs are mostly ballads like Why. There are about
- three uptempo songs like Walking on broken glass. My favourite is a uptempo
- number Little Bird which I think would be the ideal next single release.
-
- The album is a showcase for Annie as a very talented songwriter
- especially on ballads. "Why" is beautiful research of a broken relationship
- and the most beautiful of all the last but one song "the Gift" sends you
- to sleep. The CD ends with a selfparody with song called "Keep young and
- beautiful" which is made sound like a 78r record of the early days of
- recordings.
-
- If you like ballads like Eurythmics' Angel and When The Day Goes Down you are
- sure to love this album. If you search only for the uptempo numbers like Broken
- Glass you might be a little disappointed.
