- Re: Being followed by an obsessed person.
-
- The situation is as follows:
-
- I attend a university. I met this guy about 2 years ago,
- and at one time we were good *friends*. But as time went
- on, my life changed and I grew. I grew apart from him as
- well, but he couldn't seem to let go. I tried to still
- be friends with him, but I couldn't. He expected way too
- much of me, demanded too much from me; wouldn't let go.
- (Asides: he liked me a lot and wanted to be more than friends,
- and I was the first girl he had ever been friends with).
-
- I put up with all of it, wishing he would just go away.
- It got to a point where he figured out both my work and
- class schedule, made sure he was "in the right place at
- the right time." He would put me on guilt trips at his
- every convenience, and if I did not go to class, would get
- mad at me for not being there! I just wanted him to go
- away and stop following me - he was beginning to scare me.
-
- And then things finally hit the fan. I went home one
- afternoon and was very tired so I went to my apartment and
- closed the door of the apartment (didn't lock it), and
- then went into my bedroom and closed the door for some
- privacy (in case my roommates came home), crawled into
- bed, and went to sleep. Well, you know how it is when
- someone is starring at you - you can just feel it... I
- woke up feeling very strange and look towards the door,
- and there he was... standing there just starring at me!
- He came into my house without my permission (which I have
- never allowed anyone to do! Being female I am worried
- about intruders - by the way, this is mid-afternoon).
- Not only did he come into my house, he came into my bed-
- room (luckily, I was dressed). I am practically blind
- without my glasses, so when I saw the figure in the doorway
- I assumed it was one of my female roommates. I called out
- her name, but no one answered. At this point I start
- getting scared because this figure was silent, but finally
- he spoke and I figured out it was him. Very upset, and
- angry, and tired, I told him to leave.
-
- I *thought* he left. I rolled over to go back to sleep.
- A little while later, I again felt that starring presence
- and as I rolled over I was starring into his eyes 3 inches
- from my face!! He was knelling next to my bed, just
- starring at me while I was sleeping!!! Now I freaked out,
- I screamed at him to get the hell out of my house, to just
- leave and he wouldn't!! Finally he did, and I got up and
- locked the door and couldn't sleep anymore, I had so much
- adrenaline flowing through my body it was amazing!! I was
- soooo angry!
-
- I wrote him a letter via email telling him how entirely
- wrong his actions were, and how I was sick and tired of
- his BS and that I never wanted to talk, see, or hear from
- him again. He tried to talk to me, but I wouldn't talk
- to him (luckily, i wasn't alone - he found me in the
- library after searching for my razz - which I tried to
- hide so he wouldn't figure out where I was - this guy
- is determined!!)
-
- He left me alone for a little while. But now, he follows
- me. He sees me, and he stares at me in strange ways -
- like if he had a gun he'd shoot me - just that evil look,
- half lust, half hatred. I can't describe it. Its driving
- me crazy and I don't know what to do! I am afraid of him,
- although I don't know if I have reason to be...
-
- Please help.
