  23.      I do not know if the following method is consistant with
  24. traditions. It does serve 2 purposes:

  26. It brings the meeting back to order.
  27. It gets the indavidual help.

  29. The prefered "method" of choice (at least here in N.Y., N.Y.) is to
  30. quickly have a few of the larger male members escourt the indavidual
  31. outside where they unceramniously kick the living shit out the person
  32. and then call an ambulance.

  34. Here in N.Y most of these people are taken to a City (non-private)
  35. hospitals. All these hospitals have detox and re-hab facilities, or
  36. transfer policies to hospitals that do. The triage nurses here in N.Y.
  37. are pretty familliar with this scenario. They give em some quick
  38. patches in the E.R. then send them to Psych, after about 24-72 hours
  39. they are refered to Detox.

  41. If your into institutional 12 stepping you may get to 12 step the
  42. person you put in the hospital. The hard part is knowing just how much
  43. ass kicking the person can take. You wanna bang em up just enough to
  44. be admitted, but no so much that he wont ever recover.

  46. I suggest the following:

  48. Break the nose, blacken an eye and add a few facial cuts and abrasians.
  49. Give em a few body shots that are sure to bruse. None of this damage
  50. is perminent but since the alcohol content is so high and there is
  51. obvious head trauma they will patch him up and admit for observation.
  52. He will go the whole route.
