- Hmm, based on what I know about Malcolm, and admittedly I'm no expert,
- I would think that the NOI would be pleased that the film didn't focus
- on his experiences after the trip to Mecca. As I understand it, the
- visit to Mecca was the experience that made him "see the light" and
- realize that all men are brothers under God, etc. and caused him to
- quit the NOI.

- From what I heard, Spike Lee approached Farrakhan for his blessing for
- the film, expecting Mr. Farrakhan to have concerns about the portrayal
- of Malcolm. Farrakhan was only worried about how the film showed
- Elijah Muhammad. This is from a magazine article, I can't remember where.
