- What? How can one assert that art can not be discussed.. Clearly there is
- a level on which we can discuss a novels meaning. For example you or I can
- argue and disagree with the motivation that drive Anna in Anna Karenina.
- But if someone asserted that the book was not about love and really was a
- metaphor for evolution vs. creationism, that person just does not
- understand the book.

- watching art and projecting any subjective content you wish onto a work of
- art.

- certainly there is value that can be gained from a work of art, and there
- are intelligent ways to go about experiencing and talking about art.
