  20. I hit Virginia-Highland most often.  Nice little area for you non-Atlantans.

  22. And the proprietor of Manuel's is one Manuel J. Maloof, the chief executive
  23. of our county government.  He's a fiesty 60 year old.  But the places
  24. are all run by his sons.  Virginia-Highland is the domain of his son Tommy.
  25. I think there are a total of three Manuel's Taverns in the Atlanta area.
  26. Oh yeah, the Maloofs are all solid Democrats.  Southern Democrats, to be
  27. sure.

  29. Great place - I once "peeved" here about sharing a beer with Jimmy Carter at
  30. Manuel's.  It is easy to forget about the problems of the day in places like
  31. Manuel's - sometimes I just drink Sprite or coffee.
