- After having read some flames to the effect that you should get off
- the freeways until you have to proper experience, I noticed that you
- seem to be confusing the fast lane with the slow lane (the merging lane).
- Only the most poorly designed freeways seem to have exit ramps on the
- left (in the US). Are you confusing the two? Are you being flamed
- for nothing? (... because of that, I mean ...)
-
- [ Left lane = fast lane / Middle lane = thru or slow(er) lane /
- Right lane = merging lane (and slow lane if no middle lane) ]

- That, above, is the key. Practice makes perfect. If you are terrified
- of driving in traffic, may I suggest that you try driving at some hour
- of the day when there is not so much traffic? Leave for work an hour
- early and take your breakfast. Take a little spin at 9:00 pm. Change
- some lanes, work your turn signals, stuff like that. Once you know
- the mechanics, *then* and *only*then* will you be truly ready to face
- the real BDIVOs in general. It's just like anything else.
