- Well that's typical of yu people isn't it? If people want to die that's
- their choice. It isn't for the guvmint to go round deciding to stop
- people dying. If people don't want to die then they can invest in some
- Not Dying Insurance Policies. I have some here, as it happens. If they
- don't work, I'll give half the money back. Fair enough?

- [Gas and builders peeve deleted]
-
- Mikey, me boy, you don't imagine that builders have the first clue about
- what they're doing, do you. I may have peeved about this before, but
- last winter some builders were working on the chimney, which had got
- blocked up (by some other builders dropping rubble into it). We told
- them we wanted to install a gas fire, and they said they'd have to install
- a liner in the chimney to stop fumes leaking out into the flats above.
- Fair enough. Months later, after an incredible amount of mess has been
- made, they install a liner. So I call the gas fire people, and within
- 2 minutes I discover that in order to have a gas fire, you need a 5" liner.
- The builders have installed a 4" liner. With years of experience in their
- trade they have done something that after 2 minutes of elementary research
- with a telephone I have discovered to be a complete and utter waste of
- time and money. Now either that makes me an unadulterated hypergenius, or
- it makes the builders completely thick. You choose.
