  32. Fact:  People who lead normal well-adjusted lives are not very
  33. interesting topics of conversation.  Why would any woman want to
  34. tell her friends about her boyfriend who spent all last night watching
  35. TV with her, then they went to bed?  For all the conversations about
  36. jerks you hear, there are plenty of other women who are talking about
  37. their cats or houses or cars or children, because the guys they are
  38. with are just not very exciting to talk about.

  40. Peeve:  Women with nice boyfriends who *do* talk about them, to
  41. excess.  After the 5th or 6th time he gives you flowers, picks you
  42. up at work on Friday for a weekend in Tahoe, or spends the night at
  43. the vet with your cat, your friends are now all convinced that the
  44. guy is either a saint or some kind of weird pervert (if you watch
  45. enough horror movies...).  You can move along to other subjects of
  46. conversation, which unfortunately with these sorts of women is often
  47. how perfect their kids are, how great their car runs, how much they
  48. enjoy their exercise class, or some other saccharine drivel.

  50. At least there isn't any of *that* kind of talk on this newsgroup.
