  17. house prices are now falling faster than they ever have.

  19. The guvmint has ploughed in 3/4 billion of *our* loot to buy 20,000
  20. reposessed properties off the market. If they gave me a slice of that
  21. loot then *I'd* buy one. It'd be just as sensible.

  23. This apparently is going to save the housing market despite the fact
  24. that 80,000 properties are reposessed every year and there are already
  25. 250,000 empty houses waiting to be sold (about equivalent to one years
  26. supply of first time buyers).

  28. The guvmint, despite spectacular failure in bucking markets a mere two
  29. months ago, has yet to acquire a clue.

  31. On the other hand, when they get around to simply bribing first time
  32. buyers with mortgage tax relief on 100,000 Pounds and twenty grand in
  33. hand if we'll only *please* buy a house, I'll be there with my clammy
  34. paw out. I've already decided that it's entire;y consistent with my
  35. philosophy to regard this as the guvmint simply surrendering some of the
  36. loot it has already extorted from me :-)
