- :Yes, and I practice it. But I did not believe in/practice

-
- poorly defined question. what is magick? I've seen as many definitions
- as people purporting to practice it.
-
- :>*Do you believe in levitation, yoga, etc..
- :I think yoga is the name of a Spiritual Path, isn't it? I've never

-
- Yoga is a generic term. In general, the purpose of yoga is to achieve
- union with eternity, the infinite, God/dess, Bob, or what have you.
- Various weird powers, or siddhas, are a byproduct of yogic practices.
- One of these is levitation. There are others which seem far more
- interesting and useful than that one.
-
- :>I would not mind such comments from strictly mundane people..but I find it
- :>odd that one group who does obe's doesn't believe in magick or chakras...
- :>and people that do magick and chakras don't believe in obe...that is petty.
- :>You can't learn about something by worthless discussion of,..it does exist..
- :>it doesn't exist...you learn from experience...
- :I agree, but you would be amazed at how easily people can use one
- :"mystical experience" to become closed-minded about all others. The
- :argument goes like this:
- :"The thing that I'm involved with is real, and all of those other
- :things I hear about are nothing like the thing I do; therefore,
- :those things are all fake..."
- :
- :(It is a trap I was in for a couple of years.) :)
- :
-
- I think people get close-minded because of the fear of not-knowing.
- And people don't generally want to think. They want those handy,
- prefab answers. One experience is immediately generalizable to all
- existence. :)
-
- Reply by email if you want a response from me. I don't normally read
- these groups.
