- For what it's worth, in my 46 years, I have had several experiences that
- show that reality is much more interesting than some people would like us to
- believe it is. As a research-oriented person, I have to believe my senses
- and trust my ability to interpret reality. I look in to this list every so
- often in a usually vain attempt to read postings from other people who are
- open-minded. Alas, we seem to be dominated by two camps - people who will
- believe absolutely anything and more often people who already know it all
- and want to share their superior state of enlightenment with the rest of us.
- My observation is that when somebody advertises himself as a psychic and
- charges us a quarter to see his act, it is certainly just that. The real
- psychic things that I have seen were not controlled by anybody - they just
- happen. Does this mean that they are not worth knowing about? Of course
- not.
