  30. Actually, I can see admiring the beauty and efficiency of a well-made
  31. handgun the same way I would admire the balance and design of a well-made
  32. sword. No, maybe not quite the same way; I am rather biased on behalf of
  33. the sword. It's a bit more difficult for an untrained person to hurt 
  34. someone (other than oneself :) with a sword than with a handgun.

  36. But you're right. There is something horrible about that beauty, considering
  37. what the instrument was designed to do. I don't own a handgun, or a sword
  38. either.

  40. Mark, you may have been thinking of Ireland's golden age, when a woman
  41. could carry a bag of gold from one end of the island to another, and 
  42. both would arrive untouched.
