  12. Hi, Janis, Amy, Al, and other wonderful all and sundry folk.

  14.      I'm wondering how often these serious Fundamentalists come on the
  15. alt.pagan.  Every once in a while, I keep seeing some arrogant, pompous 
  16. anonymous someone putting things on the net that are insulting.  I don't
  17. mind debate, but--well, you've probably seen 'em, and have a pretty good idea 
  18. what they're doing.  I'm just kinda nervous about it.

  20.      I'm just getting paranoid, maybe because I'm still getting the hang of
  21. this Northwestern thang.  Just the other week, I read about a neo-nazi compound
  22. in Idaho, and how these jokers are seriously thinking about an Aryan Home-
  23. land.  They want Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and, I think, Wyoming.
  24. (Read it in the Billings Gazette, can probably get quotes if interested.)
  25. This is coupled with a local guy wanting to buy out a small, recession-hit
  26. town and become it's mayor.  This guy's a very serious Fundamentalist,
  27. and wants to "work God's will" to save the town.  Seems there's at least one
  28. really scary religion-based thing going on every month, which is really bad
  29. considering the population of Montana is 750,000.

  31.      Yeah, yeah...I'm whimpering to myself again, and it's likely I'll get
  32. flamed for it .  But what I'm wondering is,  how far can these people go to
  33. try and get us?  I've read about the Colorado ruling,8*(  and I know Seattle
  34. just barely fought off a measure nearly identical.  Exactly how powerful are
  35. the Religious right in the Northwest?  How nervous is justifiably nervous?
