  22. Sorry, but *I* would suspect that if other people were carrying, you'd have
  23. wound up with *many* more victims, from the gunfight. If, on the other hand,
  24. a number of the people had said, "he's gonna kill me, I might as well die 
  25. stopping him", instead of just one person, he could have been stopped a lot 
  26. sooner. There are certainly plenty of people who would, even if packing,
  27. have been afraid to reach for the gun, or use it, anyway.

  29. There was an incident a few years back, where this woman who was off her
  30. rocker carried a rifle (and maybe more weapons, I don't remember) into
  31. Springfield Mall, in a suburb of Philly. She killed 5 people, I think. 
  32. Finally, somebody behind her just said "the hell with this", and tackled
  33. her, disarming her, then sitting on her till the cops came.

  35. We don't need more guns, we need people willing to *do* something. I could
  36. have sworn people *admired* Wyatt Earp when he instituted the "Dodge City
  37. Rule". I thought they were under the impression it meant civilization had
  38. come.
