  14. I usually try not to get pulled into the discussions which appear
  15. on Nativenet because the electronic mail format in use seems to
  16. provide an excessive opportunity for spreading gossip and opinion
  17. from which people may try to pull some general understanding -- or
  18. misunderstanding.

  20. The comments about Ben Nighthorse Campbell interest me because the
  21. implication is that an Indian candidate should pull 100% of the
  22. Indian vote and be loved and respected by Indian people of all
  23. tribes and generations.  Give me a break!

  25. I am as opinionated as anyone out there, but I don't think it is
  26. appropriate to electronically blast second hand opinions and
  27. characterizations out to folks who may not know much about Campbell's
  28. work in Colorado and Washington on behalf of Native people.  If there
  29. are folks out there who form their opinions about people based on
  30. what they pick up through this media source, I urge you to sample
  31. a broader pool of information before passing along or accepting
  32. my or others opinions.
