  15. I have very recently been granted access to the INTERNET, and this 
  16. newsgroup. I enjoy reading the current debate, but cannot fully appreciate 
  17. it since I do not know enough about what separates the Messianics from the 
  18. Talmudics. Could someone oblige me with the following information ?

  20. i) What is a Messianic Jew ?

  22.   a) Someone who believes in a future Messiah, as prophesied in the Torah ?
  23.     [Does this include Chasidim ?]

  25.   b) Someone who believes that Jesus/Yeshua is the Christ/Messiah ?

  27. ii) How radically do your beliefs differ from mainstream Christianity :

  29.    a) Nature of the Godhead : Is it a Trinity ?
  30.    b) Is there an immortal soul, or do the dead sleep until resurrection ?
  31.    c) Is the seventh day Sabbath still binding on recipients of the Holy
  32.       Spirit of God ?
  33.    d) Are the dietary laws still to be followed ?
  34.    e) Are the annual Holy/High Days still to be observed ?
  35.    f) Is the Passover to be observed only annually or more frequently ?
  36.    g) Do you insist that the Hebrew names be used e.g. Yeshua=Jesus ?
  37.    h) Is there an organised Messianic church ?
  38.    i) How close in your beliefs are you to the Seventh-Day Adventists or 
  39.       Worldwide Church of God (Plain Truth magazine) ?

  41. ii) Who are your target audience ?  Talmudic Jews only ?

  43. iii)Do you associate with other Christian churches in any way ?
