  19.     bots. I think the main advocating had been to make
  20.     an alt.irc.bot and for the discussion of the future
  21.     and useful purpose of bots.

  24.     But I do think I have been clear on the type of bots
  25.     I advocate. Those who/which further the expressiveness of
  26.     people.

  28.     Ever sit around a card table while some friends are
  29.     playing cards. There is a type of talk and fun at 
  30.     this setting unlike any other setting <THANKS COR>

  32.     IRC lends the possiblity for people to gather together
  33.     to discuss similar interests. With certain bots it
  34.     also allows for people to converse while participating
  35.     in similar activities or even mutual activities such
  36.     as playing Uno. <UNO! RULES!> I am sure there are other
  37.     games that can be added. Some one has been asking for
  38.     help with starting a game of Diplomacy <sp>. HAS ANYONE
  39.     HELPED THIS PERSON?

  41.     It has been pointed out that there are bot authors that
  42.     have good intentions and that there are bot authors that
  43.     have had bad intentions. Several ideas have been thrown
  44.     out about what do do about all these bots... I don't know
  45.     where this is going to end. I just hope that people 
  46.     who are not concerned with the communication that IRC 
  47.     allows for will just find another place to play. I don't
  48.     wish them ill, I don't wish for them to not be able to
  49.     enjoy themselves in their chosen way, I just wish they
  50.     would exercise the respect and responsibility that all
  51.     humans are capable of...since we know the bots can't.
