  14. I've been using screen for a couple of days in conjunction with IRC.  I'm still
  15. quite ignorant of the full capabilities of screen.  (I usu. ran X-windows.)  I
  16. was just wondering if there were any screen users out there who could help me
  17. out.  All I want to be able to do is have a detached screen stay 'active'.  By
  18. this I mean I'd like to have a detached IRC session not ping out on me.  I'd
  19. also like to know how (if possible) to allow your screen to scroll.  I've tried
  20. leaving a detached screen overnight with IRC running as a test and the first
  21. time I just got pinged out only to re-connect when I re-attached the screen, the
  22. second time the session didn't ping out but I got flooded by msg's that were
  23. left while I was gone.  (The hold_mode value was set to off so that was not the
  24. problem.)  I'd really appreciate any help in the matter.  Please e-mail your
