-
- Mostly because I don't think there is enough serious discussion about
- them that necessitates the need for another group. Most bots are written
- in ircII scripts...and there is already an underused ircii newsgroup.
-
- Those of us with clue enough to write a robot in another language
- probably don't need a newsgroup to discuss it.

- MOst bots are just op bots...They add little spiffy niceties just
- to make them seem more useful, but are really just to op people

-
- Oh come now Scott. Like you are completely above suspicion. You had
- your stupid flood and annoy bots out to get people. You were responsible
- for that code and didn't seem to have a problem with unleashing it on people
- but as soon as you have a problem with people 'ganging' up on you, you
- whine to us about it? Get real.

-
- And some people like you will continue to ABUSE bots. You're right
- in your league, Scott.

-
- I was going to write one of these...I had tic-tac-toe ready for testing
- but soon stopped due to admins at one of my sites not allowing
- nice nohuped processes.

- Doesn't this bot do something sort of useful on initgame?
-

- Probably does something useful too...

- Useful bots...what a concept...

- Help...always nice....Good example of regional bots.
-
-
- I deleted all bots that I thought were a waste (IMHO) I did delete lots of
- 'info' bots... I think they are semi useful to useful...but I just deleted
- too many before I decided I could include them.
