  13. I don't want to step on anyone's toes or offend, I would just like to
  14. hear peoples views.

  16. I think there are some striking similarities between religious 
  17. ceremonies/experiences and hypnosis.

  19. People say that when they 'give themselfs to god', they are touched
  20. by something that calms them.

  22. When I put myself in a hypnotic state, one method of deepening
  23. the hypnotic state I use is to accept completely what the voice is 
  24. saying,allow the voice on the tape to take COMPLETE control.

  26. Also, I have found without explicit suggestion, I have gone into
  27. a euphoric state while under hypnosis.

  29. One can also see some aspects of religious ceremonies that are similar
  30. to hypnotic induction sequences.

  32. Now, I'm not saying that religious experiences are hypnosis, just that 
  33. there seems to be some similarities.
