- I'm a little surprised by this, the method I suggested was the progressive
- relaxation method, The eyes shouldn't have rolled back.. I think its a symptom
- of trying too hard, just relax and enjoy.

- the eye-rollback technique is a way of getting people into hypnosis, but like
- the "clench the muscles and relax" it also is dangerous as it is not a natural
- mode of operation.

- I must admit that when someone attempts to hypnotise me, my conscious element
- (ok so I know that model of the brain is obsolete) tries to impose the method
- of hypnosis that I am most familiar with. The only way around that is just to
- empty the mind completely of all thoughts and in a single-minded manner

- as you seem to be so susceptible to hypnosis, how about trying self-hypnosis
- a quick method is as follows (from Advanced auto-hypnosis)

- stare for a 5 seconds

- close your eyes

- feel the relaxation as your eyes close, its so soothing, so pleasant

- try and maximize this relaxation throughout your eyes, your eyes are
- relaxing, and it is wonderful. Your eyelids are getting heavier so that
- the next time they will only want to open half as much as before

- keep your eyes closed for about 8 seconds

- as you open your eyes slowly, they are feeling so relaxed and heavy
- that they only want to open half as much as they were before

- keep your eyes open for 3 seconds

- close your eyes again, isn't it so relaxing., its so relaxing that
- you dont want to open your eyes again, you just want to enjoy this
- soothing sensation.

- keep your eyes closed for 20 seconds, concentrating upon the feeling of
- relaxation, the next time you open your eyes, the eyes lids will be so
- heavy and relaxed that they will open half as much as the last time.

- open your eyes, again, they are so heavy that they only open half as
- much as before, try as you might, your eyes just dont want to open
- anymore.

- close your eyes, the overwhelming sensation of relaxation floods from
- your eyes, all over your face and head and throughout your whole body.
- your eyes are now perfectly relaxed and with every second that passes
- every muscle in your body is relaxing twice as much as it was before

- your eyes are so relaxed that they wont want to open, they are numb and
- totally relaxed. As time passes all of you body relaxes so that you
- you cant feel it anymore.

- remain in this state for as long as you wish, enjoying the relaxation.

- When I awaken you from this trance, you will feel totally refreshed,
- your mind will be clear of any conflict and any daily aches and pains
- that you have will disappear.

- at the count of 10 you will awaken from trance fully awake, fully
- refreshed and feeling wonderful, ready to tackle your daily life.

- 10 you can feel the sensation returning to all of your limbs
- 9 you are aware of all of your body
- 8 you are waking up, the relaxation is leaving your body
- 7 your muscles,skin, head are all awake
- 6 you are feeling alert, your eyes are opening
- 5 your eyes are open and fully refreshed
- 4 waking up, feeling fine and confident
- 3 you can move your arms and legs, and feel the sensation in them
- 2 fully awake, fully refreshed
- 1 wide awake
- 0 wake up, you are no longer in a hypnotic trance.

- The first time you try this methods, may take as long as a minute to enter a
- deep hypnotic trance. rut with practice you should be able to enter hypnosis
- and at a very deep level merely by closing your eyes. Its a case of maximizing
- the relaxation so that it just fills your whole body.

- A more advanced technique builds upon this and allows you to open your eyes and
- yet remain in a state of hypnosis. its a case of continual reinforcement saying
- that every thing you hear and see will only help you to relax further. The
- first few times it doesnt work but after the third, your mind begins to believe
- you.
