- You're missing the point. Shakespeare was the Stephen King of his time
- -- he wrote clear, uncluttered dialogue that jibed with period audiences.
- HPL, on the other hand, was trapped in the past. He was writing just a
- little while before Hemmingway, but tried to (badly) immitate gothic
- density.
