  11. As was most graciously brought to my attention today, I used the term
  12. "homophobe" in two contradictory ways in one of my posts of a few days
  13. ago.

  15. I said that a "homophobe" is someone who hates homosexuals without reason,
  16. and tho cannot be reasoned with.  I later said that some of them CAN be
  17. reasoned with.

  19. Perhaps what I meant to say was that there are those people out there who
  20. harbor a shallow dislike for gays and lesbians and who are willing to
  21. change their viewpoints when dealt with in a rational manner.  There
  22. people would not, then, qualify as homophobes, but are simply ignorant
  23. because they have never met many homosexuals in their lives and have only
  24. stereotypes to go on (such as myself in High School, I'm sorry to say).
