  14.     Thanks for all the replies, I figured out what was needed, and
  15. also learned some interesting things about how usenet news handles
  16. formatting and how condescending some folks can be and how nice others
  17. can be.

  19. BubbleGumHack:  The wiper fluid wouldn't work on my '81 VW Rabbit, and
  20. my windscreen was covered in road salt, so I had to pull over to wipe
  21. it off with napkins (ALWAYS keep your napkins from drive-thru!).  I
  22. looked under the hood to see if my fluid was empty, and the reservoir
  23. was _F_u_l_l_! so I checked the line from the reservoir to
  24. the nozzle and lo and behold, a hole!  so, luckily I was chewing gum
  25. at the time, so I took it out of my mouth, wrapped it round the hole,
  26. and had a clean windscreen!  And the gum stayed there until I totaled
  27. the car, I guess it froze on and stuck!
