  13. Last time I called home my mom was saying that there were some (evil)
  14. developers trying to turn Little Presque Isle (between Marquette and Big
  15. Bay) into some kind of civilized campground.  The locals who are none
  16. too happy about the thought that RVs might start to encroach on a
  17. perfectly good wilderness area have organized some to try to stop this.

  20. status?  I think the DNR actually owns the land, having had it transferred
  21. to them from Cleveland Cliffs in exchange for land that's now a tailings
  22. basin.  Before that one of the early settlers owned it.
