- All the points of the movie which you dislike are stand Coppola
- style, especially the epic overblowing of everything (like your buckets
- o' blood coming from left and right). This is why his movies tend to
- stir love-hate reactions, and either become huge hits or flops.
- I generally thought the movie was excellent, and was very impressed
- with how much they stuck to the book, until the very end, which I
- thought was sappily done and acted.

- P.S. In regard to your casting ideas, I agree Keanu Reaves was pretty
- ridiculous, but in the novel he's more of a narrative device than a
- fully developed character as well. And you must admit that Gary Oldman
- was superb.
