- Hi,
-
- A friend of mine is interested (as we all are I am sure) in winning the
- lottery. My friend (she) noticed that certain number combintations
- appear more frequently than others leading to the conclusion that one
- should be able to increase the chances of winning by a proper selection of
- numbers. Given the fact that the number selection (as seen on the
- newscasts) appears random, the balls in the basket must not be uniformly
- distributed.
-
- Does anyone out there have any information at all about the distribution of
- numbers in a lottery basket? Are the distributions uniform?
