  15. A friend of mine is interested (as we all are I am sure) in winning the
  16. lottery.  My friend (she) noticed that certain number combintations
  17. appear more frequently than others leading to the conclusion that one 
  18. should be able to increase the chances of winning by a proper selection of
  19. numbers.  Given the fact that the number selection (as seen on the
  20. newscasts) appears random, the balls in the basket must not be uniformly 
  21. distributed.

  23. Does anyone out there have any information at all about the distribution of
  24. numbers in a lottery basket?  Are the distributions uniform?
