- One time we had an early PDP11 with a switched cache that developed
- some bugs, the cache would quit and you had to turn the cash enable
- switch off and on again to restart it. It took us a month or so
- before we finally found the intermittent bug (an insoldered joint,)
- that caused it.

- Years later you would still see people go into the computer room and
- cycle the cache to "speed things up." When asked what they were doing
- the would say, "I don't know, but so-and-so told me this helps."
