- Isn't it astounding that the wannabe flamers get all shirty when
- the are bludgeoned with perfectly valid polysyllabic constructs.
- Yet they joyously abuse the one or two multisyllable words that
- they are comfortable with, over and over again, trying to
- indicated to their tired and wretched friends that they are
- witty, clever, and erudite ['erudite', a perfect example of one
- of those words that is just too hard for the protoflamer's
- clue-buckets to contain. Imagine their consternation when hit by
- such priceless terms as 'elan', 'panache', 'verisimilitude' or
- even the rather plain 'ontological'.]
-
- If it wasn't for the existence of the vernacular, a full 80% of
- the flamers in this newsgroup would be reduced to spouting
- 'what?' fifteen million times, in order to get their pathetic
- little point across; said point being 'I'm stupid, help me!'.
-
- Steve is, as Tri-Ungulate correctly points out, a waste of space
- and bandwidth.
-
- Time to invoke cosmic censorship against the dweeb component of
- the net.
-
- Erudition forever.
