-
- THANK YOU!!!!!
- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
- Currently, there's a vote going on for the creation of two new groups:
- rec.arts.marching.drumcorps and rec.arts.marching.misc. These groups should
- benefit our discussion in several ways:
-
- 1. Some sites will not carry any alt groups (even for the good stuff, like
- Drum Corps!). The creation of these groups in the "mainstream" News
- hierarchy will give us wider coverage.
-
- 2. By creating rec.arts.marching.drumcorps and rec.arts.marching.misc, we will
- have a clear, unambiguous place for the discussion of Drum & Bugle Corps.
- All other marching-related discussion will be in rec.arts.marching.misc.
-
- 3. Color Guards and Marching Bands will have the benefit of a mainstream
- Newsgroup: rec.arts.marching.misc. When News discussion of these activities
- warrants a separate newsgroup, there will be a clear path to expansion.
-
- The presence of the group rec.arts.marching.misc should encourage
- discussion of both Marching Bands and Color Guards.
-
- The voting procedure is quite straightforward and painless:
-
- VOTING PROCEDURE: On each of the two newsgroups, you may vote Yes, No, or
- Abstain. To vote, copy the following ballot into a mail message, and if you
- wish to vote Yes or No on a group, replace the 'A' with a 'Y' or 'N'. Then
- e-mail the ballot to:
-
- rmm-vote@blackcat.stortek.com
-
- ----- CUT HERE --------- CUT HERE --------- CUT HERE --------- CUT HERE ----
-
- BALLOT:
- rec.arts.marching.drumcorps: A <------- change this to a Y
- rec.arts.marching.misc: A <---------change this to a Y
-
- ----- CUT HERE --------- CUT HERE --------- CUT HERE --------- CUT HERE ----
-
- Remember, you MUST send your vote to this address for it to be counted!
-
- If you haven't already voted, please VOTE NOW. If you have friends or
- associates who would be interested in these new groups, please let them know
- about the vote.
