Yes, it's the same piece, but I don't think it's a transcription. Isn't it an original band piece?? It's much in the same idea as his (Nelson's) Resonances I and Resonances II. Do you have any speculation on how Cavies will treat the funky ending of this piece?? It has 3 short, dissonant chords at the end. It might be cool to extend them a few beats (somewhere between 2 and 32 beats 8^> ) to let the dissonances REALLY come out.
This is great music....if you haven't heard this piece, it's a great library addition (IMHO)!
We touched onthis over the summer, but I'm going to bring it back up--what do you (everyone) think would be some really great band--->drum corps transcriptions?? It seems like more corps are gravitating towards the wind band repertoire. I'd love to believe it's following the lead of my buddies at Black Gold, but I know better.
