- (since i lived on the west coast for the past 5 years, I haven't seen much of
- drum corps other than the west coast guys, excuse my 'out of touch ness'.
- also, one is a bit geeky, but I'm just curious if someone knows for sure...)
-
- 1) Who is Jack Stamp? I noticed he is credited as a composer on one of the
- pieces, and I've not ever heard of him, can't find anything on him.
-
- 2) On one of the Malcom Arnold 'dances' pieces the BD line plays unison 6's
- with one hand, their left hands holding the mallet up so you dont
- think there is any funny business... anyhow, 1) are they playing them
- with both sides of a std mallet or is it a frame-drum beater, and 2)
- are they playing straight 6's or are there diddles in there? I hear
- them but I cant tell if it is a tic or if they were intentional.
-
- Unfortunately, all i have to go on is the pbs summary broadcast and I can't
- really tell much visually on that.
