  20. I was very disappointed by this too. I remember Michael Cesario saying 
  21. that the corps would never repeat itself sometime around '84 (of 
  22. course, the corps had played West Side Story in the 70's, and also a 
  23. few years after the show opened, around 1952. But it sure sounded 
  24. different.) The show was OK, I guess, but it didn't thrill me.

  26. I don't really like 'repeat' or 'best of' shows in general, I guess. 
  27. Maybe my attention span is too short, but if I've heard it before, 
  28. basically the same, then I'm not interested. Short signature things are 
  29. OK, but if it's an actual part of the *show* instead of just a coda, 
  30. forget it. Lots of people may get excited at the thought of the Scouts 
  31. rehashing 'Slaughter' or whatever but not me. I can listen to records.

  33. I also tend to think that it's not fair to the kids in the corps. Sure,
  34. music is music, but there will inevitably be comparisons to the last
  35. time the corps played the music, and who needs that?

  37. And, when you have the immense power to expose people to new (or old 
  38. but as yet unperformed by D&BC) music, why would you *want* to repeat 
  39. yourself?

  41. Then again, people pay to see the Ramones play the same set they've
  42. been playing for 20 years. Not me, though.
