  27. Sorry...there are no top 12 corps who use matched grip on snare anymore.
  28. In fact, I'm fairly confident that all top 25 use one form or another of
  29. traditional grip.  Going into a top 12 corps auditions cold, with no corps
  30. experience or use of traditional, your friend should probably set his
  31. sights realistically on bass drum (which can be a blast, too.)  Another
  32. option is to get some experience with a 13-25 corps, work on traditional
  33. playing, and try out for a top-12 line in 1994.
